KULI KULI CEO HEADSHOTS // CHICAGO
So thrilled to have the opportunity to get the founder & CEO of kuli kuli foods some fresh lifestyle photos while in chicago over the holidays. 📷 Meet LISA CURTIS…
If you had to explain to a 10 year old what you spend your time doing for work…what would you say?
Kuli Kuli is a superfood company that sources unique ingredients like moringa and baobab from small farmers and sells them in the form of smoothie powders, gummies and lattes across the US. My absolute favorite part of my job is getting to travel to the small farming communities that Kuli Kuli sources from and understand the impact that we’re having.
What do you spend your time & energy on outside of work?
Parenting my two young kiddos, running, hiking and hanging out with friends and family. Getting out into nature. I love going through long runs in the woods near my house in Oakland, CA.
How would you like to see the world differently in your lifetime?
I’d like to see us evolve from a food system that has left over a billion people overweight and almost another billion undernourished into one where everyone has access to healthy food.
What was your first job? If you could hang out w/ 17 year old Lisa... what would you tell her about who you are today?
My first job was at an ice cream shop. I loved it! Everyone’s happy when they’re getting ice cream. I’d tell her that she’s living the life of her dreams — doing work she loves and has an incredible village of friends and family to support her. I hope I inspire more people to pursue their dreams.
Why did you decide to book with Steph Grant Studios & what was the experience like?
I loved all of it - especially the impromptu dancing and chatting. I've always been intimidated by the idea of a corporate headshot. Steph not only made it feel approachable, she truly made it fun! The joy of working with her showed through in the photos which exceeded my expectations and turned out absolutely stunning.
WHAT SONG REMINDS YOU OF THIS POINT IN YOUR LIFE?
Run by OneRepublic because I’m always running, literally and figuratively.
